We had our (for us at least) best day yet.
We went to the Karoo Desert Botanical Garden. The curators
have established "a dazzling desert succulent showcase"
on 70 acres of semi-arid land. We were in heaven all day.
Everywhere we looked were more succulents, many of which we
had never heard of. Succulent overload!
Later this week, we'll be out on the land finding many of
the plants in their natural habitat, but today's preview was
just fantastic! |
